Rest and Re-balance

Our emotions can help us accomplish things out of love, drive and passion. They can also take us to depths of despair and get us sidetracked from our goals and what we really want to be doing.

I went down that rabbit hole recently. I allowed some struggles in my life to get in the way of continuing to “believe” in what I was trying to build as a new adventure that could help others and touch their lives in some small way.

I took some time to “regroup” and get my mind reset. The good thing was that through my diligent work over the past few years to keep within my margin of “going” off my path, I was able to manage my way through the pitfalls that in the past would have taken me down.

Habits – good ones can help keep things in order in your life in a great way. Bad ones seem to control us but as we develop good ones to replace the bad ones, we can tip the scale in our favor and have our 80 / 20 with the positive habits being on the 80% side.

When you have a “plan” and good habits in place then it’s much easier to weather the storms in our lives – and there will always be storms in our lives.

One of my strategies is to take some time to myself and rest. Regain some balance in my life and then I can have the strength and courage to resume back on my way.

Take time in your life to develop a plan and possibly a different way to look at things. A way to gain some rest and balance in your life and maybe a plan to add some changes where they are needed.

I took some time to spend with a friend and to catch up on some reading along with a few other “little things” I wanted to get caught up on and accomplished. It made a difference and helped me regroup with the determination to keep some balance in my life so I can weather the storms easier.

I struggle with guilt of the “coulda”, shoulda, woulda’s” (you know all those regrets) in my life and am having to “learn” that it’s o.k. to be kind and gentle on myself. I have had to learn to give myself “permission” to rest and do something just for myself and not allow myself to go to the “guilties”. Learning to be kind to oneself is one of the very core needs we have to develop in order to be able to make lasting changes in our lives.

Blessings as you take time to make a plan to gain some balance in your life and stay within your boundaries when you are facing “getting off track”. Remember to get some rest and take time to regroup.
