Changing our “Mindset” through Affirmations

A valuable tool in all of this is to find a statement to say to yourself as a positive input, to begin changing your thoughts about yourself and food.

This is an ongoing process.

We will begin by speaking what we want and then “getting it into our minds”, where it will affect our will and emotions.

We have looked at where we are and why we want to make some changes, now we will write out our own personal affirmations to help us move from the old and negative way of “life & eating” – Into a positive and loving future.

Here are examples of what others have written and used. Then you can choose to write your own personal affirmations that work for you, remembering that they can be updated and changed as you progress on your journey. Keep a journal handy as life will change, and so should your affirmations.

My Road to changing my life regarding eating and exercise:

  • I am thankful for my life and the breath that I breathe.
  • I am thankful that I can walk and move all of my body!
  • I now see my body as my friend.
  • I now love my body for being the vehicle my soul and spirit live in.
  • I thank my body for taking me where I want and need to go.
  • I now choose to take really good care of :you” – my body.
  • I now choose to eat only what is good and healthy for my body.
  • I now listen to what my body wants and needs.
