Feed your Mind and Move your Body

This week we go back to looking at ways to “feed our mind” and increase moving our body.

Occasionally add / chose a “new thought” you would like to have become a reality. Write it in your journal, in your appointment book, or put it on the fridge, the dashboard of your car, on your desk – somewhere you will see it. Ones I have used are:
• I now love my body for being the vehicle my soul and spirit live in.
• I thank my body for taking me where I want and need to go.
• I now choose to take really good care of “you” – my body.
• I now choose to eat only what is good and healthy for my body.
• I now listen to what my body wants and needs.

Continue to discover some ways to increase “moving your body”. Park in the “back 40” of th[7]the parking lot at the store, go for a walk to spend some time with someone or by yourself to de-stress. Climb the stairs instead of the elevator. Do some stretches or some type of exercises during the commercials of one of the tv shows you are watching. If you have Netflix or can speed through them, then find some that you can do while you are watching the show. Or choose 15 minutes while you are having some quiet and alone time to “connect” with your body physically.

Any type of exercise and stretching has a remarkable effect on our mental and emotional state. It helps reduce stress both physically in the body and also helps calm the mind and stabilize the emotions. Carried out on a regular basis, it is amazing the positive shift and change – which makes it well worth the effort to “fit” / schedule it in to our regular routine as a requirement and necessity – not a luxury or “have to”.

Little things add up and as you become “aware” of the “little” choices, you can easily change habits that will bring good things for your mind, body and emotions. Soon these changes can evolve into a “lifestyle” that becomes 2nd nature to you and are very comfortable. It’s really fun to switch to a positive attitude and feeling about oneself instead of being stuck in the “victim” mentality. Trust me – I lived many years being controlled by a negative mindset and feeling of helplessness, however, I now love feeling good physically, mentally and emotionally. And when I feel or hear myself stumbling back into the negative patterns and mindset – I now know my triggers and how to take control of them instead of allowing them to control me. It’s very empowering and fun!

Blessings as you “build” on the changes in choices in each “area” that we are addressing to make long term changes you can live with and keep.
