A New Beginning

Greetings and a “Happy New Year”,

So this is the day everyone focuses on “new beginnings” and getting new habits that we plan to “do”.

My thoughts are that every day is a day for new beginnings. And it’s also a day to do and follow through with the choices we made and might be struggling to maintain.

Every day is a “new day” and every hour can be a “new beginning” to stay strong and focused on what you would like to do and have.

Take today to relax and write down all your blessings from last year. List all the good things you did and the changes you did make. Then make another list of what you would like to do and have come true this year, then list them in the order of importance.

Each day, decide to make one small change and celebrate and give yourself positive feedback when you accomplish it. Know you can be like a child learning to walk – that when you stumble or “fall” – just start over. It doesn’t matter how many times a child falls down, eventually if they don’t give up they will be walking and then running in a very short time. This same principle works for all we want to do and accomplish.

I know you can do it from personal experience. I am in a place I never thought I could or would be and now it’s just a natural part of my life and I am no longer overwhelmed when I mess up.

Choose a positive mindset, make it fun and remember to be gentle on yourself!

Blessings as you “begin” a new day in a new year that can bring a new and improved you and life!
